Alycia is pursuing a PhD on the impact of hypoxia on the behaviour of three-spined stickleback within and across generations. Her research explores plasticity and adaptation to fluctuating hypoxia in behavioural traits, cognitive abilities, and brain plasticity. The goal is to understand how environmental changes like hypoxia affect aquatic species under current global change and human pressures, and to assess if aquatic species can cope to these changes.
