More than 300 researchers from more than 30 countries met in Vienna to discuss their latest research on microbial biofilms. The „Biofilms 6“ Conference was hosted by Tom J. Battin, limnologist at the university of Vienna and group leader at WCL, and also served to launch the new journal "npj Biofilms and Microbiomes" of the „Nature“ Publishing Group.
